Star Swain has been acting and singing on stage since elementary school. In 2018, she competed in the Industry Network acting competition amongst hundreds of other competitors in Los Angeles, California, where she won awards for Improvisation & Cold Read, Singing, Monologue, and Actor of the Year (runner up).

Star also starred in the hit stage play Me Against the World in the Spring of 2019, playing the lead role of Tasha, a sanctified and Holy Ghost-filled woman, suspicious of a cheating husband. Me Against the World is set to begin touring in the Southeast in 2020.

Star is currently working on a web series project entitled The Principal’s Office, for which she is the writer and director. The web series is about the hidden drama and politics involved in the institution of education in the United States. Star was inspired to create the project after realizing the need for awareness of the brokenness and deficiencies in the educational system.

Star remains open to new roles and opportunities for work on major motion picture films and Broadway musicals.
